The Working Class Don't Walk Naked

This study of reconstruction plan of Moscow (1935) calls into question the writing of Soviet architectural history through the sole prism of the breakup, instead noting the permanencies and showing the pragmatism of the decisionmakers. Aside from the case of Moscow, there is the question of how town planning and architectural history is written in relation to politics, when the latter exerts extensive control over production.
