"The Necessity of the Landscape" is a short manifesto to inaugurate the eponymous collection. Distancing itself from the "aesthetic" landscape, with its plastic beauty, it reveals the landscape’s profound, essential and necessary character. Taking a resolutely multidisciplinary approach, this work depicts renewed practices and desires that open new horizons for scholars and landscape architects.
