Love of Ourselves

Aloé is a poor, overweight, queer, black woman. In ten letters addressed to a mystery woman, she tells of her childhood in Cameroon, her arrival in France, instability and poverty, how those around her struggled to see her as she is, the violence of the seduction market where everything can be bought and sold - especially one's place in society. And also, the choice she makes against all the odds. Aloé chooses love, love of others, but also of herself.
