Houses and Gardens of Provence

During the 17th and 18th centuries , radiant Provence surrounded noble Aix and a Marseilles where the wealth came from the merchant classes. This area is very interesting for all schools of thought, generating active patronage. Country houses increased in number, revealing the richness of the interior décor and the sometimes extremely elaborate layout of parks and gardens. Beyond the architecture, the property and its estate are a real social project having governed the landscape of an entire region for two centuries.
