The hours before dawn

Mohamed, an old Algerian who has lived in Paris for decades, decides to return to Algeria. He doesn’t want to go alone, and convinces Rachid, who arrived in France at the same time as him, to accompany him. The two discover a country that has changed immensely, and that they no longer recognize. Full of nostalgia, and often bitterness, they are confronted with a story that has continued without them, and also with their own stories, buried in their memories: the War of Independence, the golden age of the 70s, the slow decline of the 80s, the Black Decade...
