Precarious!

Mustapha Belhocine is what is called today a "precarious" person:  condemned to short contracts, he takes back-to-back cleaning jobs in the land of Uncle Sam, as a warehouseman at a famous furniture store, or a “flow manager” at a Job Centre. Armed with the words of Bourdieu, the gift of the gab, and the evasive reflexes of illegals, he casts a sharp eye through the underworld of modern exploitation.  Belhocine also writes to expose the ridiculousness, right up to its language, of a social structure that demands that its “operational motivated castmembers” have “a sense of fun”.
