Emmanuelle Questel survived the Liège terrorist attack. The drama turned her life upside down: her relationship shattered, her daughter, Élisa, cut off contact, and the journalist has since cut a forlorn figure. One night in Paris, as she contemplates suicide, the young woman receives a distress call from the teenager, who is living in Ecuador with her father and stepmother.
