Premonition

This is a disturbing warning which infiltrates consciousness, the feeling that something has been announced, a premonition. The recurrent vision of a young child running in the paths of a dark maze or balanced on the rings of Saturn are a progression to the far reaches of reality, with the nostalgia of the pain from before, but also the pain of the after which pulls us back. Cécile Menendez’s work inspired by events in her own life, welcomes us to a mysterious and fantasy world where time is suspended and the story alternates between prophecy and reality.
