Panorama Zero

Pierre Chaillet's pictorial practice involves the creation of imaginary constructions with no regard for the notions of time and space. Tight relationships are established between drawing and photography. He depicts desolate landscapes, broken-up spaces that erase objects' distinctive features, like an image produced through flash photography. Fragments of landscapes and abandoned industrial sites form the backdrop for a static wilderness, a space for anticipation.
