New York reflects the fascination that affects Vincent Jendly’s paradoxes of the New World and New York. These images are a tribute to the avant-garde, which gave the town its contemporary look; a snapshot of a city, Babel, where anything seems possible, where people are united by a unique way of life, to create and think, where millions of hopefuls in search of the American dream, crossed the Atlantic to build a new life.
Vincent Jendly lives and works in Lausanne. The New York series has been the subject of exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe and has been featured in several festivals.
