My Chinese Picture Book

This book was inspired by the author’s own experience and that of her children in learning Chinese. Catherine Louis, who is also an illustrator, wants to stimulate children’s imagination by using sings, images and pictures so to make them discover the link between ancient Chinese characters and modern ones. She has mixed Indian ink and carved printed paper to creat those vivid paintings that you will find in this book.
