Mothers and sons

Denis Dailleux, who lives in Cairo, never stops unveiling the Egyptian people since falling in love with them fifteen years ago. “Mère et fils" (mother and son) is certainly his most personal and most unsettling series. With modesty and tact, he photographs the intimacy of families where the son’s love for his mother resonates like a universally touching ode. The photographer received a World Press Photo Award for this work in the “Staged Portrait” category.
