Histories of Architecture

This collection considers architecturally significant buildings in the classical and modern periods and their sources of inspiration. With each case study, Taricat examines how a structure occupies its location. He analyzes the interiority of each building, its light, its construction, the materials with which it is built. He looks at the doctrines and theories that have guided their conception, and how little by little, they have grown from a bundle of hypotheses to actual structures true to their historical period.
