Eve reincarnated

Eve, first woman, first born, elder sister, beloved sister… In this photographic series by Colette Pourroy, there is something close to a declaration of sisterly love, expressed through a desire to revisit a place of intimacy and urgency to ward off the flight of memories, however devastating. These images seem haunted by the train of memories which inexorably continues its course from childhood to adulthood. Latent yet powerful, they tell a story hitherto remaining on the threshold of speech, which finds in the photographic transposition a palliative to the pain of enunciation.
