Rock leaf scissors

Rock, leaf, scissors, but also islet, parcel, edge... Word by word, a landscape is drawn, made of cities, mysterious wild lands, and cultivated areas. We run into an old lady who was  formerly a gang leader, a little girl who keeps hers treasures in a shoe box , and a teenager who is straddling the threshold between two worlds.  Maylis de Kerangal uses the photos taken by Benoît Grimbert to build a sort of paper chase.
