The principle of using stereoscopy to create a 3D image dates back to 1853 and was first developed by a photographer who was able to create extremely suggestive shifting shapes and spellbinding impressions. But Mireille Loup's investigation of stereoscopy doesn't stop there: She offers a very special blur aesthetic whereby separate worlds take shape through the gaze of the viewer-agent immersing himself in the whole without being able to specifically distinguish one or other due to the interactivity of the process itself.
