An Italian from Cairo, an autobiography

An Italian, born in Cairo in the late thirties remembers. Mario Rispoli, a witness to the contemporary evolution in Egypt and the near East, evokes the wars which affected him when he was a child, then as a young man, and those he covered as a reporter. “Coming of Age” co-written with Jean-Charles Depaule, whom Mario Rispoli knew at the beginning of the 60s in Cairo, is an autobiography and also a reflection upon an awakening sensuality and upon death which occupies such a special place in the Neapolitan culture of his roots.
